Fisher Named to Preseason All-ASUN Team

ATLANTA – Jacksonville University baseball redshirt-junior Bryce Fisher was named to the 2023 Preseason All-Conference team on Thursday, as announced by the ASUN Conference office.

Fisher made the team as a relief pitcher after an outstanding first-year in a Dolphin uniform last spring.

An Orlando, Florida native, Fisher transferred in after two years at St. Petersburg College and immediately became a lockdown guy on the backend of the bullpen. He made the second-most appearances on the team last year, pitching in 20 games. He tied for fifth in strikeouts, with 39, and was second in ERA, pitching to a 3.03, while also holding opponents to a .232 batting average against.

He had a season-long outing of 3.2 innings against Troy on Feb. 26, logged five strikeouts twice, in the aforementioned Troy game and against FGCU on April 30, in which he earned a save. He picked up a win in relief at FIU, throwing 3.1 scoreless innings, while allowing only two hits, as part of the record-setting 20-inning win over the Panthers on March 12.

Fisher and the Dolphins take the field on February 17, hosting Kent State at 6 p.m. Single-game and season tickets are still available for purchase at JUTickets.com.
