—Compton: Dr. Cheree Montgomery, aka Dr. Legacy, together with rapper Stix and Principal Rah, will be opening a new preschool in Compton named the Compton Legacy Early Academy with the aim of addressing early childhood literacy and setting the foundation for the future success of Compton youth. —Lincoln Heights: Geovanny Rivas Ramos, 19, was killed over the weekend in what police are describing as a gang-related shooting. Police were called to the area of ​​S. Ave 24 and N. Broadway at 4:28 pm last Saturday on a report of multiple gunshots. Ramos was found with an undisclosed amount of gunshot wounds and pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
