Mercy University Announces Fall 2022 Valedictorians

Misericordia University recently recognized the academic achievements of the Valedictorians for the Fall 2022 class during the 11th annual winter commencement ceremony, on December 18th2022, at the university’s Anderson Sports and Health Center on the scenic campus in Dallas, Pa. The ceremony celebrated the academic accomplishments of 326 students from 15 different states.

Alyssa Bondi, of East Brunswick, NJ, received her Bachelor of Science in business administration and graduated summa cum laude. While attending Misericordia, Bondi played four years on the women’s basketball team. She is currently studying for her doctorate in the DPT program and plans to become a physical therapist after receiving her doctorate. She is still actively involved in the Physical Therapy club, Best Buddies, and Kids on Campus.

Morgan Haefele, of Dickinson City, PA, graduated summa cum laude and earned her Bachelor of Science in biology. While in the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program, she spent four years on the Women’s Basketball team and was an active member of the Best Buddies Club, Autism Awareness Club, and Physical Therapy Club. Haefele hopes to get a job in the Physical Therapy field.

Peyton Kimmel, from Prince Frederick, MD, earned his Bachelor of Science in biology and graduated summa cum laude. While working toward his degree from him, Kimmel was involved in research on Creatine’s effect on Schwann cells in collaboration with Angela L. Asirvatham, BVSc., Ph.D., associate professor of Biology. Kimmel was also a part of the Geisinger HELP program and continued volunteering at Geisinger Wyoming Valley. He is currently applying to medical school and hopes to be a physician.

Kaitlin Redling, of Flemington, NJ, graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in biology. During her time at Misericordia, she was a member of the Misericordia Softball Team, the softball representative for the student-athlete advisory committee, teaching assistant for introductory level biology classes, peer academic coach, Secretary of the Biology Club, a peer tutor, and member of the Physical Therapy Club. She also served as the secretary of the biology honors society, TriBeta. Redling is working towards her from her Doctorate in Physical Therapy.

Misericordia University congratulates these students on their achievements and wishes them well in their future endeavors.
