Middle school runners stay on course – Knox County VillageSoup
The Busline League middle school cross-country campaign literally and figuratively has been on the run since mid-September and will continue through the championship meet on Thursday, Oct. 20 in Belfast.
The league scheduled 10 regular-season meets, two a week on Thursdays Sept. 15 through Oct. 13.

The league championships are Thursday, Oct. 20 at Troy Howard Middle School in Belfast, with the girls race at 3:45 pm and boys at 4:30 pm
The schools in the league with cross-country programs include Great Salt Bay of Damariscotta, Oceanside of Thomaston, Boothbay Region, Islesboro, Medomak of Waldoboro, Wiscasset, North Haven, Camden-Rockport, Searsport, Lincolnville, Searsport, St. George, Appleton , Drinkwater School of Northport and Troy Howard.

At meets, the young runners usually trek across a 2.1-mile course.
